Organic Triphala is recommended and used more than any other Ayurvedic herbal formulation. This is a two ounce container of the organic berries: haritaki, bibitaki and amalaki--nothing else. It can be taken with warm water. Most people find it to be bitter to the taste.
Triphala is most commonly known for its use as a gentle bowel tonic, helpful in digestion and supporting regular bowel movements. Triphala has also been shown to be a powerful antioxidant, protecting cells from the damaging effects of free radicals. The three fruits involved in making Triphala are also known for their individual effects to support lungs, urinary tract and for a clear complexion. 1/2 tsp. a day is the recommended dosage if using the powder (churna). It is fairly bitter to taste--which is part of the healing. Mix with a little warm water, let it sit for a few minutes and drink.
Two-ounce container of powder is $13

It is commonly taken as a daily supplement to help maintain balance of the doshas. Use daily for rejuvenation and weight loss.
